Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pyramid Lake). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Mineral County Serpents 76-31. Winning may never get old, but the Lakers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Kaitlin Mandell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-7 from deep and almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. She has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last five times she's played. Aiyana Collins was another key player, putting up eight points and 13 rebounds.

Pyramid Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Mineral County still got an impressive performance from Raeane Johnson, who shot 5-for-8 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Serrato, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Pyramid Lake is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Mineral County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Pyramid Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-14 win against Coleville on the 18th. Mineral County has also already played their next contest, a 55-17 loss against Sage Ridge on the 18th.
