Basketball Recap: Gloucester Takes a Loss

Gloucester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Swampscott Big Blue, falling 69-41. The Fishermen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Blue apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Gloucester will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Swampscott, they will head out to face off against Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
