Northeastern waltzed into their contest on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came out on top against the Mechanicsburg Wildcats by a score of 5-2. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 11-7 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Brandon Charleston, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Zack Ball was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Northeastern's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mechanicsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Northeastern will square off against Governor Mifflin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 3.6, the Mustangs 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Mechanicsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
