Basketball Recap: Mounds Comes Up Short

Mounds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 64-52 to Regent Prep. The Golden Eagles lost against Regent Prep in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-23 score last time.

Mounds' defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Regent Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Mounds didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-41 victory against Chelsea on the 25th. Regent Prep has also already played their next matchup, a 62-42 loss against Summit Christian Academy on the 25th.
