Volleyball Game Preview: Glenbard East Rams vs. Benet Academy Redwings

Glenbard East is 0-4 against Benet Academy since May of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rams will face off against the Redwings at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Glenbard East sitting on three straight victories and Benet Academy on eight.

On Monday, Glenbard East earned a 2-0 win over West Aurora.

While Glenbard East might've won, it sure wasn't easy: West Aurora scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Benet Academy beat Joliet Catholic 2-0 on Tuesday.

Benet Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Joliet Catholic between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17.

Benet Academy pushed their record up to 25-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Glenbard East, their record now sits at 20-14.

Glenbard East came up short against Benet Academy when the teams last played back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
