Basketball Recap: Mandaree Takes a Loss

Mandaree was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Powers Lake/Burke Central, falling 79-16. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Powers Lake/Burke Central are ranked 34th).

Mandaree's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Powers Lake/Burke Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing White Shield the next time they take the court. Powers Lake/Burke Central will head out to face White Shield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Mandaree will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
