Basketball Recap: Durand Takes a Loss

Durand's tournament run continued when they took on Round Lake on Saturday. The Durand Bulldogs lost 40-20 to the Round Lake Panthers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Durand lost, don't look at Aurora Hilton. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards. That was a full 45% of Durand's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Durand's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Round Lake, they moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Durand didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-18 victory against Hiawatha on the 28th. As for Round Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-24 win against Rockford East on the 28th.
