Baseball Recap: Hancock County Comes Up Short

Hancock County fell victim to Claiborne and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Hancock County's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Claiborne, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Coming up, Hancock County will welcome Barbourville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.9 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Claiborne, they will head out to square off against Jellico at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
