Maury waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Catholic Crusaders 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Commodores also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2019.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-9, 25-17.

Maury's offense was headlined by Caleb Bailey and Rahsan Spruill, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Sawyer Richard and his 23 assists. Keegan Anuar controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Maury's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maury will square off against Churchland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Catholic, they will face off against Norfolk Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
