Basketball Recap: Crofton Takes a Loss

Crofton and Meade squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Crofton had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Meade Mustangs 71-24. The contest marked Crofton's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

It was another big night for Arouna Soumaoro, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards for Meade. Keon Scott was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 10 points.

Crofton has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. The victory (which was Meade's 19th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Crofton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meade, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 84-49 win against Glen Burnie on the 6th.
