Basketball Recap: Portal Takes a Loss

Portal lost against Bryan County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Portal Panthers took a hard 55-41 fall against the Bryan County Redskins. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Portal's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Bryan County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Portal and Southeast Bulloch will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Bryan County, they will square off against Metter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryan County is on a 19-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Metter a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
