Basketball Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

If Auburn was feeling good fresh off their 82-62 takedown of Northbridge last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Auburn Rockets came up short against the Millbury Woolies on Thursday, falling 73-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Woolies: they've now lost five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Auburn fell to 2-1. As for Millbury, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Auburn will be home for the holidays to greet Grafton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Grafton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Auburn surely won't give up without a fight. As for Millbury, they will be taking part in a tournament against Westborough at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
