Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiowa). They blew past the Manzanola Bobcats 22-1 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Evan Golden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Rowan Golden was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Austin Brogger, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Kiowa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manzanola only posted an OBP of .278.
