Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Braves vs. Charleston Trojans
After constant struggles on the road, Mt. Zion has finally found some success away from home. They fell just short of the Charleston Trojans by a score of 5-3 on Friday. Mt. Zion has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On Charleston's side, Addison Shrader spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Avery Beals was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Mt. Zion's defeat ended an 18-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 19-5. As for Charleston, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Zion beat Charleston by a score of 13-10 later that day.
