Softball Recap: Windermere Has No Trouble Against West Orange

Windermere never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the West Orange Warriors as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Lauren Harper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Harper was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Tristan Trimbee was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Sophie Shaik was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Windermere always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Windermere now has a winning record of 8-7. As for West Orange, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coincidentally, Windermere and West Orange will both be playing Ocoee the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wolverines will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
