After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Bernard's, Ferndale was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hoopa Valley Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Ferndale's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-11.

Danica Dowd paced Ferndale's offense, picking up ten kills. Dowd got some help from Dalia Cantu-Mendez and her 19 assists. Cantu-Mendez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Ferndale's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Hoopa Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-21-1.
