Football Recap: Chatfield Piles Up the Points Against Brighton + How To Watch

The matchup between Chatfield and Brighton on Friday hardly resembled the 23-3 effort from their previous meeting. The Chargers claimed a resounding 57-8 victory over the Bulldogs. The Chargers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cash Williams was his usual excellent self, throwing for 289 yards and six TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). James Gold did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 61 receiving yards.

Chatfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jack Anobile and Landon Angeletti.

The win got Chatfield back to even at 2-2. As for Brighton, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Chatfield will be playing at home against Douglas County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brighton, they will venture away from home to square off against Bear Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
