Softball Recap: Mount Si Wins Going Away Against Inglemoor

Mount Si won the last time they faced Inglemoor and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 10-2 victory.

Jenna Nowak made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Nowak was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Mary Salmon tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Anna Braukus was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ally Hetzel, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Mount Si lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Mount Si now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Inglemoor, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Mount Si has already played their next match (against Mercer Island), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Inglemoor, they have already played their next contest, a 14-2 win against Sammamish on the 27th.
