Basketball Recap: Paul Laurence Dunbar Comes Up Short

Paul Laurence Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lafayette Generals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-53 last Tuesday.

Paul Laurence Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Lafayette, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9-1.

Paul Laurence Dunbar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 91-35 defeat against Frederick Douglass on the 25th. As for Lafayette, they will challenge Henry Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
