Basketball Game Preview: Greenway Raiders vs. South Ridge Panthers

The Greenway Raiders will head out on the road to take on the South Ridge Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

South Ridge will be up against a hot Greenway team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Greenway walked away with a 68-55 win over Nashwauk-Keewatin on Thursday.

Meanwhile, South Ridge narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past McGregor 65-63.

South Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points over those games. As for Greenway, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Everything came up roses for Greenway against South Ridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 68-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenway since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
