Softball Recap: Hale County's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hale County waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Pleasant Grove Spartans as they made off with a 13-1 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 12-0 victory on Saturday.

Carmen Beard looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hale County got a massive performance out of Adalyn Seale, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Seale hit this season. Yomari Moore was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Hale County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matchups.

Hale County now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Hale County will take on Greensboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will square off against Oak Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
