Baseball Recap: Triton Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Triton Central's victory against Monrovia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 12-11. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brayden Hoover and Bo West did most of the damage at the plate: Hoover went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while West went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Hartman, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Triton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Triton Central's record now sits at 12-4. As for Monrovia, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Coming up, Triton Central will be taking part in a tournament against Southwestern at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Monrovia, they will be playing at home against Jennings County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
