Basketball Recap: Lee Academy Takes a Loss

Lee Academy came up into this matchup off a tough 27-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Penquis Valley Patriots by a score of 37-35 on Monday. The Pandas were probably out for revenge after losing 42-24 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lee Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Penquis Valley, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Lee Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bucksport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Penquis Valley, they will be home for the holidays to greet Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
