Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is New York Mills' Seventh in Last Nine Outings

There's no place like home for New York Mills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the South Ridge Panthers 3-2. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers on Friday, too.

New York Mills has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for South Ridge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Coming up, New York Mills will challenge Sebeka at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-3 win against Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin on the 2nd.
