Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Yellowjackets vs. Robinson Senators

The Clinton Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Robinson Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Clinton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Clinton against Central Arkansas Christian as the team secured a 73-45 win. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Mustangs are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Robinson unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 67-59 to Morrilton.

Clinton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Robinson, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

Clinton beat Robinson 63-50 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
