Basketball Recap: Hoopeston Takes a Loss

Hoopeston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 75-70 heartbreaker at the hands of the Armstrong Trojans. The Cornjerkers were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in February.

Hoopeston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Armstrong, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Hoopeston will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Judah Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Armstrong, they will venture away from home to face off against Herscher at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
