Softball Recap: Sylvania Takes a Loss

Sylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hackleburg Panthers, falling 18-2.

Sylvania's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hackleburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That lines up perfectly with their 14-4 record this season.

Sylvania will head out to challenge Ider at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ider's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Sylvania's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hackleburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-9 defeat against Satsuma on the 29th.
