Basketball Game Preview: Winters Blizzards vs. Bangs Dragons

The Winters Blizzards will venture away from home to face off against the Bangs Dragons at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Winters and four for Bangs.

Winters came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Coleman by a score of 37-34 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blizzards have suffered since January 23rd.

Meanwhile, Bangs lost to Miles on the road by a 46-30 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1028th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 476th).

Bangs' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Winters, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Winters came out on top in a nail-biter against Bangs when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 32-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Winters since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
