Basketball Recap: Reedley Comes Up Short

Reedley lost against Immanuel back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Reedley Pirates came up short against the Immanuel Eagles, falling 70-50. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Immanuel to victory were Bennett Cords and Micah Vossler. Cords went 9 for 17 on his way to 23 points and six rebounds, while Vossler went 7 of 9 en route to 16 points. Those 23 points gave Cords a new career-high. Caden Joseph was another key player, putting up nine points.

Reedley now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Immanuel, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reedley will venture away from home to challenge Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Immanuel, they are taking a road trip to square off against Central Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
