Volleyball Recap: Schaumburg Christian Starts Season with Win Against Parkview Christian Academy + How To Watch

Schaumburg Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons. The Conquerors haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

While Schaumburg Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23.

Schaumburg Christian was led to victory by Lydia Lopez and Olivia Hoyos. Lopez had 17 digs, while Hoyos had seven digs and four aces. Those 17 digs gave Lopez a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Schaumburg Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 27 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Parkview Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Lilah Carlyle and Lillie Bernhard. Carlyle had eight digs, while Bernhard had 11 assists and three digs.
