Basketball Game Preview: Loudonville Redbirds vs. Dalton Bulldogs

The Loudonville Redbirds will venture away from home to square off against the Dalton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Loudonville strolled past Temple Christian with points to spare, taking the game 78-63. The win continues a trend for the Redbirds in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Dalton over Medina Christian Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Dalton blew Medina Christian Academy out of the water with a 76-46 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Dalton and bumps their season record up to 12-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.5 points. As for Loudonville, their win bumped their record up to 5-17.

Loudonville ended up a good deal behind Dalton in their previous matchup back in February of 2016, losing 62-48. Can Loudonville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
