Softball Recap: Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jacksonville's offense. They came up short against the Lufkin Panthers on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The loss continues a trend for the Fightin' Indians in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Emaleigh Wardell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lufkin, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15.

Coincidentally, Jacksonville and Lufkin will both be playing Whitehouse the next time they take the field. The Fightin' Indians will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
