Recap: Sundance Bulldogs vs. Belle Fourche Broncs
Even though the Sundance Bulldogs have not done well against the Belle Fourche Broncs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Sundance walked away with a 58-49 victory over Belle Fourche. Given Sundance's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 12th in Wyoming, while Belle Fourche is ranked 89th in South Dakota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Belle Fourche lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jet Jensen. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with eight rebounds. Nolan Wahlfeldt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Sundance's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Belle Fourche, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Sundance is on the road again on Saturday and play against Lead-Deadwood at 12:30 p.m. on December 16th. As for Belle Fourche, they will square off against Newcastle at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
