Baseball Recap: Forbes Road vs. Meyersdale Red Raiders
Forbes Road extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-14 in the process. They came up short against the Meyersdale Red Raiders, falling 9-1. If Forbes Road was looking for revenge after losing 14-3 to Meyersdale when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Meyersdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
For Meyersdale's part, Karter Schurg and Ryan Sechler made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Schurg pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
