Baseball Recap: Handley Takes a Loss

Handley lost against Munford last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly four runs.

Alex Busbin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Handley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season. As for Munford, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Handley will host Benjamin Russell at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Munford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glencoe at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
