Baseball Game Preview: Marcus Marauders vs. Little Elm Lobos

For the second straight game, Marcus will face off against Little Elm. The Marauders will square off against the Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marcus' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Little Elm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Marcus had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Little Elm on Tuesday. The Marauders were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Lobos. Considering the Marauders have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Marcus is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Little Elm, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20-1.
