Softball Recap: West Side Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

West Side waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Rose Bud Ramblers. Seven seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Lilly Stevens, who went 1-for-2 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2 stolen bases per game. Kately Cornett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

West Side's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Rose Bud, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

West Side and Rose Bud will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Mt. Vernon-Enola at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Rose Bud, their break will end when they face Des Arc at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
