Soccer Game Preview: Saint Thomas Aquinas vs. De Soto + Official Tickets

The Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints will head out on the road to take on the De Soto Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Saint Thomas Aquinas took a five-goal loss the last time they faced off against Shawnee Heights, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Saints' defense stepped up to hand the Thunderbirds a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. That's two games straight that Saint Thomas Aquinas have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Brody Siebert, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, De Soto extended their postseason success on Thursday against Pittsburg. They came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for De Soto.

De Soto's victory bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

Saint Thomas Aquinas beat De Soto by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2023, winning 1-0. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
