Basketball Recap: Sunset Skates Past Molina with Ease

Sunset won the last time they faced Molina and things went their way on Friday too. The Sunset Bison claimed a resounding 57-27 win over the Molina Jaguars. The Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Sunset found their leader in freshman Keliah Thomas- Browne, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas- Browne has scored all season. Yanet Lemus was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards.

Sunset's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Molina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Sunset will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Oak Cliff at 6:00 p.m. Sunset's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so South Oak Cliff's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Molina, they will head out to square off against White at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. White will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Molina surely won't give up without a fight.
