Recap: Silver Fighting Colts vs. St. Pius X Sartans
On Saturday, The Silver Fighting Colts got themselves on the board against the St. Pius X Sartans, but the St. Pius X Sartans never followed suit. They breezed by the Sartans on the road to the tune of 46-0. The result was nothing new for Silver, who have now won six matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Adan Jacquez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 263 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Julian Richard was in the mix as well, providing Silver with three touchdowns.
Silver's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.4 points per game. As for St. Pius X, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Silver will be playing in front of their home fans against Valencia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Pius X, they will head out on the road to face off against Grants at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Grants is ranked 53rd, while St. Pius X is ranked 44th).
