Football Recap: Forest Hills' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Forest Hills played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 33-7 to the Richland Rams. The defeat continues a trend for the Rangers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost seven in a row.

Xander Richardson threw for 173 yards on 13 of 26 attempts. Brody Custer was his top target, picking up 106 receiving yards.

A big part of Richland's win came down to the chemistry between Jacob Regan and his top target Arnold Mugerwa. Regan threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes while Mugerwa picked up 162 receiving yards and three scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns Mugerwa has posted since back in September of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Forest Hills fell to 4-1. As for Richland, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Hills will square off against Bedford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will be up against the Bisons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.6 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Richland, they will challenge Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
