Lyons took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 15-25, 25-16, 15-13.
Even though they lost, Lyons was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Marion waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Red Raiders.
Lyons' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6. As for Marion, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.
