Soccer Game Preview: A.C. Reynolds vs. Wando

The A.C. Reynolds Rockets will face off against the Wando Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with A.C. Reynolds sitting on five straight victories and Wando on four.

A.C. Reynolds is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: T.C. Roberson, who was ranked 24th at the time (A.C. Reynolds was ranked 16th). The Rockets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rams 2-1.

Scarlette Ulrichs and Jaylee Monteith scored both of A.C. Reynolds' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Wando's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Lucy Beckham 2-1.

A.C. Reynolds pushed their record up to 9-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Wando, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
