Volleyball Recap: Gorham Fayette Eagles vs. Delta Panthers
After flying high against Bowsher on Saturday, Gorham Fayette came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Delta Panthers on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Gorham Fayette couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Delta a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 30-28.
Kennedy Kunkle paced Gorham Fayette's offense, picking up nine kills. Kunkle got some help from Kelsie Storrs and her 15 assists. Storrs was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Serenity Tedrick was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.
Gorham Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Delta, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Delta, they will challenge Edgerton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
