Basketball Recap: Yutan Extends Winning Streak to Four

Yutan won the last time they faced Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Yutan Chieftains secured a 35-31 W over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. Winning may never get old, but the Chieftains sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Yutan was led to victory by Mylee Tichota and Audrey Dieckman. Tichota posted 14 points, while Dieckman put up 12 points.

Yutan is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10.

Yutan will square off against Raymond Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Raymond Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Yutan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
