Mt. Gilead hadn't done well against Danville recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Indians managed a 26-22 win over the Blue Devils. The Indians' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Cyren Wallace and Parker Proper certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Wallace gained 108 total yards and a touchdown, while Proper threw for 55 yards and one TD.

Mt. Gilead's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Gilead will face off against Fredericktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Freddies' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Danville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northmor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
