Baseball Recap: Croatan Comes Up Short

Croatan blew White Oak out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday White Oak got their revenge. The Cougars fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-2. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Croatan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harrison Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Nathan Griffin was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Croatan now has a losing record of 6-7. As for White Oak, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-8.
