It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lawrence North had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took down the North Central Panthers 74-59. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on seven straight.

North Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Papi Rivera, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 15 points and five assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Nijah Jewell, who scored 13 points.

Lawrence North's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for North Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Lawrence North will face off against Mooresville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lawrence North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Mooresville likes a good challenge. North Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
