Softball Game Preview: Imlay City Spartans vs. Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers

The Imlay City Spartans will take on the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Imlay City will be strutting in after a win while Our Lady of the Lakes will be coming in after a defeat.

Our Lady of the Lakes will be up against a hot Imlay City squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Spartans came out on top against Yale by a score of 7-4 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Lakes unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 9-5 to Shrine Catholic.

Kennidy Koshorek made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashley Leddy, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Imlay City's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
