Basketball Recap: Humboldt Piles Up the Points Against Bluestem

Humboldt had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They really took it to the Bluestem Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-25 win. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Colden Cook continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, en route to 23 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The game was his tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Sterling, who to rack up 13 points and four steals.

Humboldt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Humboldt's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Bluestem, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

As of now, neither Humboldt nor Bluestem have any future games scheduled.
